One of its greatest strengths is that it covers all sorts of scenarios—from those where you have a source code file to look at. But no idea what it’s supposed to do, to situations where you have an incorrect output file that needs debugging. In addition, you can get sample code online to use as starting points and labs in class allow you to use these programs in your coursework as well as do more problem solving outside of class than would otherwise be possible. About “Walter Savitch, Kenrick Mock” the Authors
Walter Savitch is a professor of computer science at Marquette University and is chairman of ACM SIGCSE, an organization focused on computer science education. His areas of interest include systems programming and new languages for parallel computers. He has also been involved in several national groups concerned with curriculum development in high schools. Walter received his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University in 1980. He lives in Milwaukee and enjoys amateur radio and chess.
