Reviews About “In the Waning Light” by “Loreth Anne White”
The night before Maxine Parker died, she and her daughter Angie sat together in Maxine’s kitchen. They drank tea, ate scones, and talked about nothing. They never had time for that sort of thing anymore—and neither did their family or friends. Maxine was getting old and dying, but it was hard to believe until it was too late. In a flash of anger—and despair—Angie blamed herself for not finding a way to save her mother from an agonizing death…or so she told everyone who cared to listen. Then one day, six months after Maxine’s passing, Angie has lunch with a man named Todd Miller at Powell’s City of Books. She doesn’t know Todd well, just enough to nod when they see each other around town.
