Overview About “Technical Communication 12th Edition”
It is one of four rhetorical modes or dispositions traditionally used to structure arguments in persuasive discourse. Some rhetoricians refer to these as modes of persuasion and classify them as ethos (appeals to ethics), pathos (appeals to emotion), logos (appeals to logic), and (Europe) logos or techne (appeals based on technique). Strategies of presentation are determined according to three factors: how much information is given in advance; how much relevance and credibility; and whether they are made explicit or left implicit/understood. These strategies can be modulated using tools such as frame theory.
