If you’re a connoisseur of dark fantasy and/or horror, you might have come across Landmoor. Even if you haven’t read it, Jeff Wheeler will be familiar to most of us: we’ve been in some way inspired by his work—which is visible everywhere online and has appeared in many anthologies and magazines such as Black Static, Naked City, Grimdark Magazine, Apex Magazine, New York Review of Science Fiction and Best Horror of the Year Volume 6 (alongside Michael Moorcock). His talent is self-evident, which makes me wonder why he has only published one book so far. I guess that tells us something about how hard it can be to be both an artist and a businessman at once.
