Andrzej Sapkowski was born in 1948 in Poland. He studied economy and business, but the success of his fantasy cycle about the sorcerer Geralt of Rivia turned him into a bestselling writer. He is now one of Poland’s most famous and successful authors. His books have been translated into about 20 languages and have sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, while the Witcher videogames have scored over 100 awards and sold more than 7 million copies to date, making them one of the best-selling PC game series ever. The last part of the trilogy, Sword of Destiny, will be out in English this May!

Sword of Destiny is a standalone novel set in The Witcher universe. It follows Geralt as he searches for his missing adopted daughter, Ciri while being held captive by Nilfgaardian agents. During his captivity, he learns more about Ciri’s story and her unique connection to some very important characters from The Witcher’s past. A must-read for all fans of The Witcher trilogy! I rated it 5 out of 5 stars! I recommend reading The Last Wish before reading Sword of Destiny. They’re both short stories and you can get them free online (just Google The Last Wish or Sword of Destiny).
