About “Tracey Garvis Graves” the author of On the Island
Tracey Garvis Graves has degrees in marketing and education. She is a former educator, a retired consumer products marketer, and now writes full-time. On a cold March day in 2009, she had an idea for a story that wouldn’t leave her alone. To get it out of her head and onto the paper she began writing–first longhand then on her laptop. The author has written three more novels since but says all stories are connected. After publishing On The Island, Tracey found herself feeling like The Twilight Zone because so many people recognized local landmarks from her descriptions or called to say how much they related to them.
