To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure that I can do justice to The Mime Order. This is a deeply complicated book, and it deserves a lengthy review. I loved that book–I devoured it in just two days. But there were so many elements to it that I wasn’t sure how to put my feelings into words. Then again, maybe short reviews are good sometimes too? After all, most people don’t want to read overly long reviews; they want an honest opinion of whether or not a book is worth reading. That said, here’s my review for The Mime Order: It was amazing! Read it if you get a chance!
About “Samantha Shannon” the author of “The Mime Order”
The youngest person ever to be named a finalist for the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize, Samantha Shannon is now 20 years old and has already written five novels. Her young life is an inspiring one; having started writing her first book at age eight, she self-published it at 12, after which things happened quickly: a publishing deal followed not long after, and now she’s sold over half a million copies of her three published books. Those three have been translated into more than 10 languages.
