I just finished reading Chosen at Nightfall, and I loved it! Even though it took me a while to get into it. But once I did, I couldn’t put it down! There was so much emotion and pain in some of these characters you can’t help but feel for them, especially Alexander…and even Dante (sometimes)! And then there is Ashlyn with her spirit friends – what a great idea that was! At first, I was like, huh?! It kinda threw me off but then I realized why she did it and what happened every time she used her gift….man oh man….it got me teary-eyed…it was perfect! This book is amazingly written and completely captivating. Just when you think things are going one way, they take a complete 180 turn! The plot twist after plot twist will have your mind reeling and your heart racing.

I love all of Hunter’s books but I think Chosen at Nightfall is my favorite so far!! A must-read!!! I absolutely LOVED Chosen at Nightfall! Right from page 1, we’re thrown into an action-packed adventure. You never know who to trust or who might betray you next. I found myself constantly guessing as to what would happen next and how everything would end up tying together. Every character has their own unique personality and quirks that make them stand out from each other. You really start to care about them as people rather than just fictional characters on a page. That’s always my biggest compliment for any author: if I find myself actually caring about their characters, then they’ve done something right! If you haven’t started the Darkest Powers series yet, go check it out now! It’s awesome!
