Brent week is an American author. His most famous work is Night Angel Trilogy and Lightbringer Series. I recommend all his works. Here I am sharing one of his other good novels named Way of shadows. This book is about Azoth, a young boy who goes through many hardships in order to survive. And one day is powerful enough to go after revenge against those that have wronged him. The life he lives holds nothing but constant pain from beatings, both from his master Durzo Blint and from gangs that stalk homeless children like dogs do rats. Azoth endures it all without complaint. Because he knows someday he will be rewarded for his faithfulness with power and respect, maybe even love.

Even before I heard anything about Way of Shadows, it was clear that Brent Weeks had talent. The Black Prism is one of my favorite books. It has everything a great fantasy book needs; suspense, drama, detailed world-building, and a highly engaging plot. However, for some reason I’ve been putting off reading his new series; probably because it’s compared to Harry Potter on pretty much every other review (and I really hated Harry Potter). Thankfully all these expectations have meant that my enjoyment has been heightened. Honestly, after finishing Way of Shadows in three days I went back and read The Black Prism for a second time immediately. If you’re looking for an epic fantasy series then look no further than Way of Shadows. A must-read!

About “Brent Weeks” the author of “Way of Shadows”

(born 1972) is an American fantasy author and former game designer who lives in Oregon with his wife and two children. His debut series, The Night Angel Trilogy (2008–2011), follows assassin Durzo Blint as he searches for a boy who may be able to restore magic to a land where all magic has been lost for thousands of years. His first stand-alone novel, The Black Prism (2010), takes place in a world where instead of using magic people use power drawn from light and color. In January 2012, he signed a deal with Orbit Books to write three more books set in that world.[2] The Way of Shadows was released on August 19, 2011. Shadow’s Edge was released February 28, 2012; Beyond the Shadows will be released February 26, 2013.
