The Fiend Folio is a sourcebook of demonology and creatures, part of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons line of role-playing games materials. It was one of three core monster manuals (the others being the Monster Manual and the Players Handbook). And it was updated in 2003 by Wizards of the Coast as the Tome of Horrors with players’ options rules included in some creatures to encourage use as opponents for player characters. It was edited by James M. Ward and published in 1981 by TSR Hobbies, Inc. As a 128-page hardcover book with color illustrations and an outer folder.

Fiend Folio, from The Role-Playing Game Resource Site, reviews: One of my favorites on my shelf is Fiend Folio. It’s got demons for all levels. Not just fodder for high-level adventurers, but mid-level ones too. Of course, there are also some low-level and special monster ones for those lower or higher-level creatures you need to throw at players to keep them on their toes. I really like how it has a wide variety of monsters as well as giving you enough information about them. That you can easily use in your own campaign setting with a little tweaking. There’s no fluff, just facts which makes it great! So if you’re looking for a simple to use but the fun book, get yourself a copy of Fiend Folio today!

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, often abbreviated to AD&D or D&D, is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game first published in 1974. The game has been revised and re-released many times; there are five distinct editions, as well as numerous expansion packs. It was derived from miniature wargames with a variation of the rules known as Chainmail that also served as the basis for RPGs like Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.
