Nora Roberts was born in Silver Spring, Maryland on October 10, 1950. Her mother was a homemaker and her father worked as a theatre, music, and television executive who worked with such notables as John Hammond, Fred Friendly, and David Susskind. When she was eight years old her parents moved the family to Ireland. Where they lived on an island in Sligo called Inishbofin. And they stayed there until she was almost eleven. When they returned to the United States they settled in Bethesda, Maryland where she attended Walter Johnson High School.

The world comes alive in the Northern Lights. From romance and suspense to heroism and heartbreak, there’s something for everyone in these pages. There are no pages that go without great emotional content here either; I love reading a book that has characters to who I can relate, both men and women. The end of one story makes me want to start reading another. Nora Roberts writes with such passion that she makes you want to read everything she writes, no matter what kind of book it is or how many times you’ve read her before. That’s true talent! This is definitely one of my favorite books from Nora Roberts. It’s also perfect for anyone who loves romantic suspense novels, especially if they like their stories to be set in Alaska.
