Physics has never been an easy subject, but it doesn’t have to be hard either. This physics textbook provides easy-to-follow instruction that helps you grasp even the most difficult concepts. So you can understand and apply them to the real world with ease and confidence. Helping you get the most out of this resource is the addition of insightful review questions at the end of each chapter. As well as a final exam at the end of the book to test your knowledge in physics concepts and give you feedback about where your study needs lie. So you can focus your attention where it’s needed most.
Overview About “Physics for Scientists and Engineers: A Strategic Approach with Modern Physics, 4th Ed”
This text focuses on both understanding and solving problems that can be related to college-level courses. It introduces classical mechanics first and then delves into electricity, magnetism, waves/sound/light, quantum mechanics/nuclear physics before moving onto quantum fields/special relativity/general relativity. The book includes new projects in each chapter as well as helpful illustrations of topics in physics. This version has a study guide online.
Reviews About “Physics for Scientists and Engineers: A Strategic Approach with Modern Physics, 4th Ed”
This book is one of my all-time favorites. I have a much easier time studying and retaining information. If it’s been explained to me in plain English rather than technical jargon. And that’s what Knight did when he wrote Physics for Scientists and Engineers. His writing style is concise but informative. The writing flows easily from section to section, clearly explaining difficult concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. One of my favorite things about his style is how he’ll describe a problem you might encounter or an answer you might get on a physics test. Only to follow up that description with an explanation of why your answer/problem was incorrect/incorrect. And what you would need to do instead.
