I was looking forward to reading my friend’s book and seeing what he’d come up with. I was not disappointed. The characters were rich and believable, some even somewhat likable, if you can believe that! The storyline kept me guessing and wondering what would happen next, which is a testament to an author’s ability to draw in his reader. The world-building was first-rate and imaginative. All in all, it was an excellent read! In fact, I can’t wait for the second installment! If you love fantasy books that are light on magic but heavy on adventure and suspense with touches of romance thrown in (no pun intended), then I highly recommend picking up a copy of The White Tower today. You won’t be disappointed!
