It is a good book to learn the basics of Chemical, Biochemical, and Engineering Thermodynamics with its simple language. But it has plenty of errors in solving equations which need more editing work on its part. Even though it can be modified easily by readers. They are experts in these three fields but some were unable to figure out these mistakes properly at first sight. But as an entire package, it is an okay book for students to learn basic concepts from starting point (which happens to be necessary). Its chapters are well designed that focus on each topic separately and later put them all together for another overview before moving forward with the next topics. It will definitely help students study step-by-step instructions rather than everything compiled together into one chapter resulting in difficulties in understanding basic examples!

Stanley I. Sandler is an award-winning professor of chemical engineering at the University of Connecticut (UConn) in Storrs, CT. He has a BS degree from UConn, MS degrees from Johns Hopkins University, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), both in chemical engineering; and PhDs from RPI and UConn in chemical engineering and chemical education.
