This is a phenomenal story. If you are interested in fantasy, you’ll love The Belles. The world that Clayton created is astonishingly well done. The characters and their backgrounds were so detailed and fascinating to read about. I highly recommend The Belles to anyone who loves a good fantasy novel. It will be a favorite of mine!
About “Dhonielle Clayton” the author of ” The Belles “
She is a best-selling author, screenwriter, and senior editor at Scholastic who lives in New York City. Her book Leaping Tall Buildings: The Origins of American Comics, looks at how comics have evolved as an art form, covering everything from newspaper funnies to graphic novels. She co-wrote its companion graphic novel, published in 2016 by Abrams/Amulet Books. Her most recent young adult fantasy novel, With Love & Confusion, is due out in 2017. The Belles, a young adult novel inspired by Cinderella that she co-wrote with fellow YA author Lauren DeStefano, was published in March 2017.
