Someone We Know by Shari Lapena is an interesting read. It’s not just another mystery book, but instead has many twists and turns to it. The ending was not what I expected! I also loved the way she wrote, it was extremely easy to read, even though the book was more than 400 pages long! Someone We Know by Shari Lapena would be perfect to read this summer! I’m looking forward to reading more of her books in the future!

I was reading another book but when I finished it, I had to find something else to read right away. This is what happened with Someone we know. I loved how I couldn’t predict any of the plot twists and that’s what made me want to keep reading and not put it down. Without giving anything away (as other reviewers did) let me just say that once you reach a certain point in the story, you will be holding your breath until you get to a certain moment in which your heart will stop beating for a few seconds as you go through all sorts of emotions. All in all, if you like books that pull some unexpected plot twists and interesting characters – then pick up a copy of Someone we know right now!

Shari Lapena is an American author, born on June 14, 1964, in New York City. She studied creative writing at Princeton University and has worked as a book editor and journalist. Her debut novel The Couple Next Door was released in January 2016 by HarperCollins imprint Ecco, which also published her second novel Someone We Know. The latter became a #1 New York Times bestseller. She currently lives in New York City with her husband, their two children, and two rescue dogs.
