About “Steven Chapra” the Author

Steven Chapra is a professor of civil and environmental engineering at Arizona State University. Where he teaches numerical methods, computational modeling, and water resources engineering. He is a leading researcher in mathematical programming and scientific computing. And he has written more than 70 papers and nine books. He was an NSF Industry-University Cooperative Research Center PI on two programs. One that provided real-time visibility overpowers systems in Texas with 100% wind penetration. Another examined how data centers could be strategically placed in order to minimize their carbon footprint. Dr. Chapra earned his Ph.D., MSEd., MEngSc, ME, BE degrees from Stanford University.
