Cold Fire is a science fiction novel written by American writer, attorney, and author of popular law books, Dustin Stevens. It is his first foray into writing and publishing novels as an independent writer. The book was published in March 2016 through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. The story takes place in a future where there are no more natural resources left on Earth, but humans have learned to harness energy from other planets to sustain themselves. The main character in Cold Fire, Matt Davis, is sent on a mission to investigate strange goings-on on the planet Saturn’s moon Titan.

It seems that book reviewers around the world have mistaken Steven’s attempt at writing thrilling fiction as horror; he isn’t scary, but he is irritating and confusing. You won’t be able to stop reading because you need to find out what happens next; you’ll simply want to see if there is something salvageable in his descriptions or narrative voice after all. There isn’t. This is one of those books where your brain will start shutting down so you can survive its terrible prose.
