The characters were well written, you really get to know them throughout the story. This was definitely worth reading and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something different than your typical YA fantasy novel.

Charlie was born in New Jersey, USA but grew up traveling around North America living in more than thirteen states, six Canadian provinces, and four countries on three continents. She loves history, good food, and travel, often combining all three in her research for her books. She started writing The Weird Wild West series when she was eight years old (her first story about a talking coyote won a children’s short story contest) and hasn’t stopped since. Today she lives in Toronto with her husband and various pets where she continues to write stories of wonder and magic; although now that her son is here she sometimes finds herself being pulled away from time with fictional worlds to spend time with him instead!
