In this chapter, we will explore the following topics in detail: Mechanics of Fluids and Solids, Vector Fields and Scalar Fields, Work, Energy, Power, and Machines, Friction and the Kinetic Theory of Gases. In addition to exploring these areas in detail, you will use problems to practice problem-solving skills that are fundamental to success in physics.

Reviews About “Physics: Principles with Applications 6th Edition”
I was given an access code to MasteringPhysics in order to review it before I purchased my own book. And I’m glad I did! Instead of spending all that time studying on my own and making mistakes along the way. I used MasteringPhysics as a guide through each chapter, from start to finish. It really helped me solidify all of my learning instead of just reading over everything at once and forgetting half of it later! The workbook problems were especially helpful since they didn’t give you a solution or even a hint until you had come up with your own method first. It really helps cement things into your memory. This is perfect when using a textbook that has so much information packed into it!
