About the Authors
Donald L. Pavia is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Chemistry at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. He has taught and carried out research as a university professor for more than 20 years; much of his research has involved organometallic chemistry and homogeneous catalysis. The techniques described in Chapters 6–8 are among those that he teaches in his classes. Most recently, Dr. Pavia received one of only two US Government National Defense Science & Engineering Graduate Fellowships awarded in FY 2001 from NSF’s Division of Chemical, Bioengineering, Environmental & Transport Systems (CBET).
