Cheryl Strayed Tiny Beautiful Things is the perfect example of the kind of book. You can buy it as a gift but keep it for yourself. The collection of letters and articles. Which originally appeared on Strayed’s Dear Sugar website, offers insights and advice on everything from love to friendship to grief to the perils of promiscuity and drunkenness. With Strayed’s signature blend of sensitivity and bluntness. Tiny Beautiful Things will both move you to tears and make you laugh out loud.
Overview About “Tiny Beautiful Things” by “Cheryl Strayed”
Tiny Beautiful Things is a collection of Cheryl’s answers to anonymous advice-seekers on Dear Sugar (the literary sister site to The Rumpus). It’s written in an incredibly engaging and honest voice and was one of my favorite reads last year. With personal essays, quotes, inspiration, and stories from some of her favorite writers. Cheryl offers sage advice to help all of us find our way. Written in bite-sized entries, it’s also perfect for busy people who feel like they don’t have time to read. Because they are so caught up in their day-to-day lives. Some people might criticize it as self-help that aims at women but I think it can be relatable for everyone.

Tiny Beautiful Things is a collection of short letters written to various people in Cheryl’s life. From her mom to her best friend, each letter carries with it an authenticity that is undeniable and at times gut-wrenching. Some of them are funny, some of them heartbreaking, and some just plain inspiring. It’s an easy read. Perfect for curling up on your couch with a glass of wine and tears in your eyes (hey, sometimes you need a good cry). Sometimes you need to be reminded that things do get better, that life isn’t all bad (and neither are you). These letters will challenge you, move you, make you laugh, and sometimes make your heart hurt for their raw honesty.
