A review about The Real Deal by Lauren Blakely A good book is like a great meal: savored and enjoyed thoroughly, with every aspect taken in and considered. Because that’s what I did while reading The Real Deal, one of my favorite books of all time, period. First off, I want to say that it’s been a while since I loved a contemporary romance as much as I loved The Real Deal. Sometimes, contemporary feels like a new adult to me. Because there is so much angst and drama. And it isn’t quite realistic enough for me. But Lauren made it seem effortless. Romance should be fun! It should make you smile when you read about characters you love, who are falling hard for each other.

Lauren Blakely was born on April 29, 1979, in Tampa, Florida. At an early age, she moved to New York City with her family and that is where she currently resides with her husband. Ms. Blakely has been writing since she was a child, however, it wasn’t until 2011 that she decided to pursue writing as a career.
