We The People is a concise introduction to the American government that combines a powerful narrative of U.S. history with a systematic presentation of key concepts and processes in American government and politics. Written by top scholars for students new to political science. We The People emphasizes an understanding of historical change rather than rules or details about our Constitution or policies today. New coverage of voting rights and gerrymandering gives students a greater appreciation for ongoing debates about equality and democracy in America. Expanded examples illustrate institutional variation at work today. And every chapter provides links to current news stories related to each topic covered. Reviews About “We the People Essentials 12th Edition”

There is a wide range of reviews for We The People: The Citizen and The Constitution which I will include in my review. There is one review that talks about how they didn’t get into specifics which is why they were disappointed with it and found We The People more of a wide look at what used to be called civics This may seem like a negative review but it isn’t that just show how people read different books and want to learn something different from them. In fact, there is a similar post that talks about how we can use books as tools or read them for fun and meaning each book should be judged individually not compared to others because no two books are alike.
