You should feel safe talking to us about whatever is on your mind. Even if it’s something embarrassing or personal. Because this should be a place where you can just be yourself and talk freely.

We need to stop pretending that We Are All Good People Here is a book for everyone. This work, it’s not for you. This is a book you should put down right now and walk away from. You are not one of us and we don’t want you here, because you do not understand. If your mind was a sailboat, our thoughts would drown it at sea without leaving so much as an air bubble to show where it once floated freely on waves of sunlight. You cannot comprehend what we have done or why, because there has never been a time in your life when anything was worth doing just because there was no other reason to do it.
