Something About You is a romantic comedy that is built around a workplace romance. It’s been described as a cross between Devil Wears Prada and When Harry Met Sally. It’s full of funny moments and witty banter, but it also has its serious side. The story centers on two coworkers at a law firm who are set up on a blind date and realize. They have more in common than they think. Add some well-meaning friends, meddling family members, and exes that just won’t go away. And you’ve got yourself an enjoyable read. Something About You reminded me why I love reading romances: they’re incredibly fun while providing great escapism from everyday life!

This book is a very good read. It doesn’t take long to finish but it’s a good story! The characters are realistic and I loved them both in different ways. It’s a great quick getaway from your busy life. And I think anyone would enjoy it if they gave it a chance. Yes, I recommend buying it! :). Well, I just finished reading Something about you as my first Julie James novel and was surprised how much I enjoyed reading it even though it’s not a genre that I would normally pick up. This is one of those types of books that people tell you about when they see you looking for something to read so I figured why not give it a try…you never know what you might find.
About “Julie James” the author of “Something About You”
Born and raised in Minnesota, Julie James spent her college years at Carleton College where she majored in Economics and International Studies. After working for a semester at Price Waterhouse Cooper’s Washington DC office (thanks, Dad!), she realized that being an accountant just wasn’t her thing. Shortly thereafter, she followed an ex-boyfriend to Chicago where she became an Assistant District Attorney. That lasted a few years until another one of her boyfriends (don’t they always say you should never date someone who has the same job as you?) encouraged her to try writing romance novels. She now spends her days writing smart romantic comedies that don’t require a law degree to understand (and hopefully make readers laugh out loud).
