The author of The Intelligent Investor, Benjamin Graham was a U.S. economist and professor who pioneered fundamental analysis in security evaluation. He is widely considered to be one of America’s most influential financial minds and perhaps a father of value investing. Buffett, who later became known as the Oracle of Omaha, praised him as his biggest influence during his 60-year career at Berkshire Hathaway Inc., calling him by far, my favorite among all the teachers I studied under. It is even rumored that Buffett named his son Howard after Ben’s daughter, who married Howard Buffett (Warren’s brother).
