Overview About “Lisey’s Story” by “Stephen King”
Lisey’s Story is a novel about a woman and her husband, Scott Landon. If you have read any of Stephen King’s other works, it should be easy to connect Lisey with Lisa from Misery. Both characters are women that feel as if they are in over their heads and stuck in relationships with men who don’t really love them anymore. Even though both stories have some similarities, overall they couldn’t be more different.
In Lisey’s Story, we get a look into how complicated things can get when dealing with mental illness. This book takes place after Scott has passed away but before he has been found dead, which creates an interesting timeline for events to take place. The main character has gone through one devastating loss but now she must try and move on without letting go of all that she has lost along the way.
Reviews About “Lisey’s Story” by “Stephen King”
What I liked about Lisey’s Story was that it wasn’t what I expected it to be. It was much more. The story doesn’t jump right into an explicit, detailed account of how Scott Landon dies, and you don’t even get all of that info until near the end of the book. No—you have to earn every piece of information, slowly peeling back layer after layer like an onion with tons of tears along the way. But, in a good way!
