The Mithila is a geographical and cultural region of the Indian subcontinent, also known as Tirhut and Triabhukti. In the east of Mithila, there is Mahananda River, in the south, there is Ganga River, the west is surrounded by Gandaki River, and in the northern foothills of the Himalayas are located.
In Sita: Warrior of Mithila, the King of Mithila along with her wife Sunaina looked like a child on the road which was protected by Vulture. There was no person around the child, so they adopted that child and named them “Sita”. She took admission in martial arts classes along with other subjects. When Sita was 14, the head of the Malayaputra tribe, Mr. Maharishi Vishvamitra, visited Shvetaketu’s ashram.
During his visit, he was impressed by the knowledge and skills of the Sita. After observing the mind-intelligence and professionalism of Sita in her field, he elected her as the 7th Vishnu but requested her to keep it secret. After a few years later, Sita, with the assistance of Swayamvar, planned a marriage alliance with Ram.
Sita: Warrior of Mithila is based on a real epic of India “the Ramayana” when Sita was a legendary queen. The novel is basically a retelling of that epic. In 2018, the Landmark Bookstores conducted a survey, the book was the “most anticipated book of 2017.

Amish Tripathi, a columnist, and the author were born on October 18, 174, in Mumbai, India. He is an alumnus of St. Xavier’s College and Cathedral & John Connon School, as well as the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He worked as a banker in various organizations, such as IDBI Federal Life Insurance, Standard Chartered Bank, and Development Bank for Singapore.
