But not just any kind of different path — he’s a soldier in Afghanistan, while she becomes an adult film star. They never forget each other, however, and so many years later, both are trying to find their way back to each other even though they know that might be impossible. This book has such an incredible ending; I don’t want to spoil it by saying more.
