About “Jack D. Schwager” the Author of “Getting Started in Technical Analysis”
Jack Schwager is a leading author in his field and has written over a dozen books, including Market Wizards (1989), The New Market Wizards (1992), Stock Market Wizards (2001), and Hedge Fund Market Wizards (2013). He was born on January 10, 1954, in Greenwich, Connecticut, to two teachers: a father who taught physics at Stuyvesant High School and a mother who taught English at Bronxville High School. He attended Union College where he studied electrical engineering for three years before switching to political science. While at Union he became editor of its newspaper and took part in radio news reporting for WRUN-AM.
