In Z, there’s an intimacy to the book that makes it read like it was written by an old friend, who’s telling you about their past with no thought of making sure you approve of their choices or their behavior. This means that there’s an authenticity to this book that I haven’t found in many other books. Fowler doesn’t hold back when it comes to talking about her faults and failings, which only makes her feel more real and human and like someone who might one day be your friend as well.
Overview About “Z” by “Therese Anne Fowler”
I read Z and I thought it was a very interesting book. The main character is Z, short for Zelda, and she has an unusual mental disorder. She likes to cut words out of magazines. She does not realize how badly she hurts herself until her teacher Mr. Fitz brings her to a hospital after she cuts too deeply and becomes too weak to stand up at school. When at first she did not want to go there but then started cutting when trying to escape from that place again. The rest of my review you will be found under My Opinion on my favorite page! About “Therese Anne Fowler” the author of “Z”
The author of Z, Therese Anne Fowler, is also an editor for a small publishing company. In addition to writing about her love for all things travel on her website and for Elite Traveler, she works in marketing at her day job—though you’ll see that distinction starts to blur when it comes to readers who ask questions or seek advice. The author’s trip-of-a-lifetime took place in September 2013, when she set out on a 100-day journey around Europe with no itinerary but plenty of spontaneity, documenting her adventures and discoveries along the way. Her first book—the adventure travel guide Unbelievably Good Deals and Great Adventures That You Absolutely Can’t Get Unless You’re in This Truck Right Now.
