I love a good suspense story and Chasing Fire does not disappoint. If you’re a fan of good, old-fashioned mysteries with a twist, I recommend you try it. It’s full of intrigue and twists that keep you guessing until very near to the end. The book follows both Jack Mercy Jr. (who is investigating his father’s apparent suicide) and Will Westcott, who just happens to be in San Francisco at an important meeting for his job when he witnesses a woman thrown from her apartment window to her death. He immediately gets involved in trying to figure out what happened. As he investigates, he finds himself pulled into a web of corruption and lies that could put him behind bars if they are discovered.
