Andrzej Sapkowski, a Polish writer of fantasy and science fiction, wrote The Last Wish as his first published book. Translated from its original Polish language into English, it is a collection of short stories based on The Witcher. A series of computer games with elements based on classic monsters and folk tales. Such as elves and dwarfs. In The Last Wish, we are introduced to Geralt of Rivia who is known as a witcher: an agent trained to slay all manner of creatures by magical means. They have enhanced fighting skills gained through genetic mutations, learned training, and harsh trials. But having powers does not mean that you are safe from foes including other witchers and humans whose sole intent is to kill you for your abilities.
About “Andrzej Sapkowski” the author of “The Last Wish”
Polish video game developer and writer. He is best known for his book series The Witcher, which was later adapted into a film, a comic book series, and a video game. His books have been translated into about 20 languages, and since 2015 he has been shortlisted for one of Europe’s most prestigious literary awards (the Eurocon 2015), alongside Ian McEwan, David Grossman, and Peter Stamm. Sapkowski received positive reviews from critics at Gdynia Film Festival in 2011.
