Reviews About “Close to the Bone” by “Kendra Elliot”
This is not just another romantic suspense novel. It is a reminder that we all live with a shadow side and no one can tell you which bad choices are worth making. I loved how Elliott manages to make each character’s motivation believable and relatable. Her plot twists had me gasping at times and wondering if things would ever be right again in Boston PD’s world. And then, once they were revealed, they opened up an entirely new angle on everything that happened before. The best books get under your skin and have you thinking about them long after you finish reading them. And I found myself doing exactly that while reading Close to the Bone. While there isn’t a cliffhanger ending, neither is it totally complete; there’s room for more stories (and perhaps answers) down the road.

In addition to writing and editing, she loves spending time with her husband and two children who help keep her grounded when she isn’t fighting crime. She loves gardening but feels guilty about it. Because every plant ends up dead due to some odd condition. Such as too much water or lack of water. Her guilty pleasure is watching daytime television talk shows. Because they show humans at their best and worst and never fail to make her laugh out loud.
