Reviews About “Plain Truth” by “Jodi Picoult”
If you’re looking for a well-written, thought-provoking book about sexual assault and religion, check out Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult. The book tells the story of an Amish man who is charged with sexually assaulting his adopted daughter. Confessions from multiple other men start to emerge as well—confessions that may or may not have been solicited. The characters are believable and relatable—the whole time I was reading I kept asking myself would I do that? Spoiler alert: no matter what your moral code says, it turns out there are people who do awful things because their morals tell them they should.
