However, Rising Storm is entirely set in that time after it’s too late to fix things and society crumbles around us. While there are certainly more optimistic works out there. My own experiences have taught me that these kinds of situations tend to be far more realistic. And likely than what most people envision when they think about such matters.

Rising Storm is a captivating story about a group of teenagers that are on their way home from school during a massive storm. It takes place in Australia and tells about how every main character deals with nature. And how it affects them as people. I found myself identifying with some characters, but not others. Some people seem like they are lost in life, while others found themselves facing nature’s wrath. I love books that make me feel something when I read them and Rising Storm made me feel! One thing is for sure: once you start reading, you won’t be able to put it down until you finish it!

Wayne Stinnett lives in Big Bear, California with his wife and daughter. His love of writing was inspired at a young age while he lived in East Tennessee. After earning an A.A. degree at Pellissippi State Technical Community College, he worked as a computer repairman and freelance writer. While attending classes at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN where he studied English Literature and Writing.
