Walter Savitch is a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at Texas A&M University. He has been named a fellow of both ACM and IEEE, and he served as an elected member of several organizations in computing education—including SIGCSE and ANSI/IEEE-CS. Kenrick Mock ( born 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas ) is an American computer programmer who has published a series of influential books on topics related to computer programming. He is currently employed as a senior software development manager at Microsoft. Previously he was a contributing editor for DeveloperStudio magazine. Currently, he sits on its editorial board.
