Catherine Ryan Hyde is a New York Times bestselling author who has lived in Portland, Oregon for over 30 years. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she spent ten years living in Europe before moving to Oregon with her husband, John. The marriage eventually fell apart and she returned to Oregon alone.
