Overview About “The DUFF” by “Kody Keplinger”
This novel is about a girl named Bianca, who struggles with her identity. She does not have many friends but feels good about herself because she knows who she is. Then she sees Wesley and instantly thinks that he’s out of her league. But little does she know that Wesley has been watching her too. Bianca decides to fight for what she wants, no matter how crazy it may seem to everyone else around her. She needs to learn how to stand up for herself and be confident in everything she does and say, even if that means standing up for a friend even when it’s against someone you care about like your ex-boyfriend or your crush who was also your best friend since middle school (her cousin).
Reviews About “The DUFF” by “Kody Keplinger”
One of my favorite teenage novels ever! I bought a copy for each of my sisters. I’m a sucker for realistic fiction and enjoyed every aspect of The Duff. I liked how it wasn’t an overused topic and was intriguing, fun to read, and had depth. The characters were likable and relatable, especially Bianca. She’s spunky, loyal, and stands up for what she believes in; traits we all can appreciate. If you’re looking for an enjoyable book to pass time with or need some motivation to get moving on that long-overdue summer project, then look no further than The Duff. It’s witty, heartfelt and a book everyone will love (or at least enjoy).
About “Kody Keplinger” the author of “The DUFF”
It’s more than just a book; it’s an anthem to every girl who’s ever been picked last and felt less than. To every girl who stayed up too late, to work on that English project because she had no idea how to write an essay about symbolism in Lord of The Flies. To every girl that cried at The Notebook. And to all girls that feel like they’re not good enough…I’m sorry. You’re wrong. You’re a DUFF. A Designated Ugly Fat Friend. There are two kinds of people in your life: those who see you as a friend and those who see you as just another social obligation, one with a bad taste in movies, clothes, and music-and possibly hygiene.
