The problem with historical romances is that they are usually predictable and boring. When The Earl Was Wicked surprised me because I didn’t see what was coming in the book. It took a while for Lady Jane to realize that she liked Damien. She thought he would have been stupid, but she quickly discovered his mischievous side. He wasn’t very easy on her when they first met, but she still agreed to help him find out who had placed a gypsy curse on him. That’s when things started to heat up between them! Even though I read historical romances often, I’ve never read anything quite like When The Earl Was Wicked before! Very sexy and fun; a great beginning of a new series from Ms. Reid!
