1Q84 (いちきゅうはちよん, Ichi-Kyū-Hachi-Yon,) a story that circles a woman named Aomame (あおまめ). The women have extraordinary capabilities to go into the depth of the objects and events. She deeply observes the changes occurring in the world.
Aomame is a young woman traveling on the roads of Japan where she tucked in a taxi on the Japan expressway. In her anxiety, a taxi driver suggests her to climb down into an emergency exit and reach her workplace to complete the assignment. However, she makes away and enters a hotel in Shibuya. She started her job there as a hotel attendant and her basic purpose is to kill a hotel guest. She uses an ice pick to kill the hotel guest because ice leaves no clue of the killer.
Aomame killed the hotel guest with Ice and she thinks that, due to no clue at the place of murder, investigators will fail to trace the killer and declare the reason “Heart Failure” for the heath of the hotel guest. But she is more attentive and started noticing everything and changes occurring in the world. She notices Tokyo Police Officers, their movements, their meetings, and whatever they are doing.
The main characters of the novels are Aomame (a thirty years old woman working in an enigmatic organization), Tengo Kawana (the second character in the novel, working as a math tutor at a prep school), Ushikawa (a grotesquely ugly man and investigator of Tengo and Aomame), Komatsu (45-years-old editor of a newspaper), and Fuka-Eri, etc.
