If you are looking for a new book to read, Reconstructing Amelia is a good choice. It is a very famous novel written by Kimberly McCreight that has sold more than one million copies around the world. I really like it. The story is really exciting and full of suspense. It’s an intriguing tale with memorable characters, plot twists, and settings; it’s beautifully written, too. Each character in Reconstructing Amelia is interesting and well-developed as well as fascinating but not always in a good way. This is why it’s such a great book!
The author describes everything so vividly that you can imagine yourself being part of what’s happening. And even though there are some parts where you have no idea what will happen next, there are others where everything seems predictable – just when you think you know what will happen next something else happens instead. This mix between predictability and unpredictability makes Reconstructing Amelia such an amazing piece of literature.

It’s easy to see why people are talking about Reconstructing Amelia. Author Kimberly McCreight, who writes under a pseudonym, did something wonderful here– she created an engaging character and worked her into a fast-paced plot that actually has you rooting for a murder suspect in her debut novel. As an editor, I thought I had seen everything; however, there is something so fresh and genuine about Emily Page’s voice (the first-person narrator of Reconstructing Amelia) that it is impossible not to fall for her wry sense of humor and endearing naiveté. The book’s twists and turns kept me guessing until almost the very end, but it was really Emily herself who kept me turning pages. She was just so much fun to spend time with! Readers will be anxious for more from her as soon as they finish Reconstructing Amelia. Highly recommended! –Tara Brown Schlittler

Kimberly McCreight was born in St. Louis, Missouri and currently lives in San Francisco, California with her husband and two children. She attended Wellesley College for her undergraduate degree and The London School of Economics for her graduate work. She worked as a magazine editor before turning to write full-time. Reconstructing Amelia was one of those titles that were on my radar from day one. How could it not be? So many people were talking about it and I wanted to see what all of the fuss was about. The book is being published as a paperback original in October so if you haven’t already purchased your copy then now would be a good time to get one.
