Misery is a novel written by Stephen King. In it, he describes everything about misery; Misery (the woman) Paul Sheldon, and Annie Wilkes. The novel was published in 1987. Misery is a story of a famous writer who gets into an accident while returning from Denver to New York after his book tour. His legs are badly damaged and he can’t move them. He is rescued by a nurse called Annie Wilkes who takes him to her house and nurses him back to health. During his stay at her house, she tries to convince him that they should marry each other. She also says that if he doesn’t marry her then she will kill him and leave no evidence behind because she knows how to make a body disappear. As days pass by, Paul realizes that there is something wrong with Annie and tries to escape but fails every time.
