Overview About “Vow of Thieves” by “Mary E. Pearson”
Overall, Vow of Thieves is a solid 4-star read in my opinion! I loved getting to know Jack, Rafe, and Aydin. They’re some very complex characters. And I was drawn into their world from page one (especially with my love for historical fiction). My only disappointment with Vow of Thieves would be that it doesn’t live up to its hype. Yes, it’s well written, but it didn’t blow me away in terms of plot or character development. If you enjoy character-driven books. That are heavy on dialogue and a little light on actual plot movement then you will probably enjoy Vow of Thieves! Don’t expect a ton of action though since there really isn’t much until towards the end.
Reviews About “Vow of Thieves” by “Mary E. Pearson”
This book is wonderful and perfect for people who want action and excitement. But don’t like books that are too graphic or too violent (because there is fighting but it’s not very detailed). What makes it even better is that it’s based on a true story! You see, I read it because I had to do a character analysis essay on Julian, one of her other characters. This story is about 2 brothers, Max and Sam Stryker, who find out in book 1 that they have a sister named Ruby. They also find out their real father kidnapped them from their real mother when she was pregnant with Ruby. They go after him and try to bring him back so he can return ruby but while they’re gone Sam finds something else out…
