The protagonist, Breq, used to be an artificial intelligence who controlled a starship; now she is part of a group trying to right some wrongs and help those who have been subjugated for centuries on an atrophied world. But it’s also about interstellar colonization, human rights, and philosophy. Readers familiar with Ancillary Justice will know what to expect from The Raven Tower—except that there are many more viewpoints from different people affected by these issues. If you’ve enjoyed Leckie’s storytelling before, then you should enjoy what she does here again.
