Blood Trail is a crime thriller based on Dewey Andreas, an ex-army ranger and Special Forces veteran who was forced to retire early due to injuries he sustained during his service in Afghanistan. The box is a well-renowned author and has gained much popularity with his books centering around Dewey Andreas. This book, however, delves into his past as he had to confront one of his enemies from within. It provides a more personal touch into what drives him than any of his previous work has been able to provide for him thus far, which is why I recommend it so highly!

This is a very exciting book with a lot of action, lots of twists and turns, and well-written dialogue. The characters are believable and well developed, in particular Joe Pickett (the main character). Mr. Box tells you what goes on in Joe’s mind through his thoughts as he contemplates what to do next as well as dialogue from Joe himself speaking to others during his investigation of a crime scene.
About “C. J. Box” the author of “Blood Trail”
The New York Times bestselling author, raised in Wyoming and Montana, is a former game warden for the state of Wyoming who received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Blood Trail begins with a family being executed by a hooded sniper at their summer home in Colorado and we follow along as Joe Pickett gets involved in investigating it as he is friends with one of those killed. A really good read and well done! The author has written numerous other books such as The Highway Open Season (which was made into a movie) and many more. He lives in Ucross, Wyoming where he writes full time! So get out there and buy these books you won’t be disappointed!
