As I held my arms close to my body, in hopes of protecting myself from getting hurt again. He walked across me and grabbed his keys on his way out. As he unlocked his car door, he stopped for a second as if he was going to come back. He turned around smiling but I didn’t give him any encouragement to walk over. Once inside, he drove off slowly like we would be together forever. I stood there stunned with an empty feeling inside knowing that it was over again for what seemed like forever. He came back once more after our break up begging me to let him come home.

When I started reading Kiss & Break Up, I didn’t want to put it down. I read it all in one sitting. This is a great book for anyone that has ever been dumped, had their heartbroken, or felt used in any kind of relationship. The main character Ava finally moves on from her cheating boyfriend Connor. But is still dealing with her issues even though she’s not with him anymore. She knows that she needs to get over him. But something deep inside of her won’t let go…the romance is filled with drama and emotion, which makes you feel as if you are there experiencing everything along with Ava…I highly recommend it.

At just twenty-two years old, Ella Fields made her literary debut in 2013 with her first novel, Kiss and Break Up. Currently a student at Saint Martin’s University in Seattle, Washington, where she majors in English Language Arts, as well as minors in Philosophy and Economics/Finance. In May 2014 she will graduate from Saint Martin’s with honors. Her hobbies include roller skating and reading about science. Her interests range from fashion to finance to philosophy; what do they all have in common? They are universal.
