The main characters of Romancing The Duke are Serena and Jeremy, who have been in love since childhood but are never able to act on their feelings for each other. Serena is beautiful and independent, tries to seduce Jeremy when she discovers he has arrived at her family home as a guest. But he has come there to marry her cousin instead of Serena herself. At first, disappointed with his rejection, Serena tries to forget him but cannot do so because he will not leave her alone. She continues trying to seduce him until one day she gets pregnant.

I loved it. I’ve been a Tessa Dare fan for years. But my fave by her was Seduced by a Pirate. This book is part of a series of books (another one called The Wallflower involves some of these characters). But I didn’t have any problem reading it as a stand-alone. The romance was steamy and fun. And there were adorable side characters with their relationships issues that were sometimes more important than how our hero and heroine related to each other. Plus, there’s an actual side plot to keep you interested in what happens beyond just two people falling in love!
